This project involved a 700m² workshop floor for a car dealership, requiring a durable, easily cleanable flooring solution with high chemical resistance.

A full abrasion of the concrete substrate was to be carried out to remove any contaminants and old floor coatings, ready for a durable flooring system to be installed.

The Remmers HB Colour epoxy floor system was chosen for this project as the client’s cost-effective option. With a wide selection of off-the-shelf RAL colours, it was the perfect option for marking off separate areas of the workshop.

Once the surface preparation was complete and all loose debris and dust were removed, the area was taped up using the client’s design plan, with zero tolerance on the sizes required for work bays and walkways. Once taped up, the Remmers HB Colour epoxy resin could be installed in the colour-specific workspaces and walkways. Left to set overnight and returning the next day, the yellow demarcation lines could be applied to the full workshop floor.

By installing Remmers HB Colour Epoxy Resin on this workshop floor, the area was completely transformed, both visually and from a safety perspective, providing clear walkways through the workshop for pedestrian traffic. The visual difference this made to a tired-looking workshop floor is undeniable.
